Monday November 8th
Its Sunday and I feel like the creeping death...this is what happens when a kickass crowd finds out its your birthday. Jager shots out the frickin ass!! Had a great weekend though, except for the falling asleep at the wheel on the way home last night debacle.Friday we were at Hardware York playing to yet another packed house, a somewhat routine night till I saw a familiar face in the crowd, you know who you are blondie, you little minx....I am going to get you back one of these nights at one of our shows when you least expect it, that is a PROMISE. But anywho, it kills me how people turn into rabid animals when we throw out our Jagermeister promotional stuff, it incites a small scale feeding frenzy for the stuff, I pity the poor girls caught in the wake of that madness...Saturday we were at the Coal Hole in Shamokin, the staff there is great and the crowd is awesome, I will never leak its my birthday when I know we are playing 2 or 3 hours away again, Birthday+ Jager+ long drive home= danger, danger, danger, dont want to be another highway casualty. We have a full plate this next week peeps. Wednesday we hit The Woodlands in Wilkes Barre, Friday we are at Grinders in E-town, Saturday at our hometown jaunt, The Village and a benefit in Elizabethtown square on Sunday, check us out. And on a depressing note, I just watched the Eagles get dismantled by the Steelers. Those floundering birds.....oh the horror of it all....

Friday November 5th
Hey now! Its been awhile...what a great time we have been having, this Halloween weekend was awesome playing for all the ghouls and guys out there at The Ritz in New Holland and the ever incredulous Hardware bar in the Burg. Shout out to the devils, ghosts, aliens, monsters, schoolgirls, teasers and flirts, and oh yes, cant forget the ballerina !! Oz and I must have lost 10 pounds apiece in our costumes, have to put a lil more thought into next years, but I already have a good idea what I am going to do. I LOVE Halloween, and the crowds were just completely AWESOME, it makes this worth everything we do. You can see pics of us in costume on hbg online. We also met some very interesting people ,but what would you expect? Things have been rollin along and we have been picked up by Jagermeister ( the bands favorite bev ), along with our Budweiser sponsorship. People just love the Jager swag we give out at every show, hell that all but constitutes a riot! We have a full plate in November and December, we are also playing two benefits, the Mooseheart benefit in E-town at the Moose Lodge to raise money for The City of Children Orphanage on Sunday Nov. 14, witch is an all age show and the Toys for Tots Benefit on Sunday December 12, we did one two years ago and what a good time we had, these are such important causes, show some support!! Its hard to believe that winter is all but here and the year is soon at an end.It has been great for us and we want to give a big thank you to all the people and clubs that make this happen for us !! Also , we will be updating the website very soon, with a new photo section so you can see pics of all our shows and an MP3 and video section so you can hear and see us. Also I will have the other "members" contribute to the journal page, even if I have to put a gun to their heads!

Friday August 6th
Well, its been awhile...hmmmm,lets see.....we've been doing pretty much the same thang but have played a couple new venues, The Woodlands in Wilkes Barre is an awesome resort with a mad party atmosphere, people party hard and gave us a great reception, met lots of new friends and had a great time there, also we played the Coal Hole in Shamokin and what looked like it was to be a grim night early on turned into a raucous drunken crowd complete with table dancing (and crashing) and all the general drunken mayhem you could possibly want! Also we played The Staircase in Pittston, this is a huge club with a concert size stage and light show, had a great time there also. Some new clubs are in the horizon, just have to work out some details, you can check the venue link on our site to see the different clubs that we play. Also we are on the cover of PA MUSICIAN this month, thanx to Robin Knoll at the mag for her support. Summer is rollin on, hell its almost over! And we have some much needed vacation time coming up in August and September before resuming our constant gigging, also some Thursday and Wednesday gigs are on the horizon also so check out our calendar and support live music! Also thanx to Richard Mantz for the new pics in our photo section, we appreciate his effort.Enjoy your summer and catch a Daisy show near you!!

Tuesday June 22nd
Hey kids, another kickass weekend. Friday night we rocked The Ritz in New Holland, had one of the biggest crowds in some time there we were told, started off slow, then BAM! alcohol laden zealots everywhere! Was a great night.Saturday night was a big surprise at Chucky Bs in Columbia, 230 + Daisyites showed up and from 11 to 1:00 the place was at its fire code limit, we had friends call us from outside who couldn't get in and left! That was the biggest crowd ever had there and there have been some good ones, place was jumping from 9:30 on, Chucky Bs is a great place to play (as is anywhere with an unruly horde present), you have to come out to these smaller clubs and support live muzak folks. We were definitely thrilled with the evening, as was the hard partying crowd. A surprise indeed, who would of thought a night like that on a nice summers eve? On another front, we will be featured on the cover of PA MUSICIAN magazine in September. Next week we are at Hardware Bar York and on Saturday a Rock n Box at Peppers Bar and Grille in Berwick. Can not wait to see a catfight at Peppers. Little fists of fury cmon!! Nothing like boxing + beer + R&R to get the heart pumping. We have a couple new venues we will be at in the near future, The Staircase in Pittston, The Castle Pub in Ebensburg, and The Coal Hole in Shamokin, with some other new possibilities also in the near future. Look for some more new tunes also coming soon....see ya soon!

Monday June 7th
Last weekend we played Tinks in Scranton and Goodfellas in Pottsville, two huge clubs,Goodfellas has a huge mural of rock star portraits covering one of the walls, it is a huge room, with a monster sound system and lights, was a great time, Goodfellas treats the bands right, I even fell off the wagon and indulged in some vicious shots compliments of the club! This weekend the Daisy train rolled into Hardware Bar York, and what a mob scene!! Dollar drinks got the night rolling early, then a raucous crowd greeted us and before the 3rd set there was a bikini contest, lots of craziness and juggery!! Saturday night we were at the Village in our hometown Lancaster, and while rainy and cold outside , it was crowded and hot inside, I haven't seen a rabid crowd like that at the Vill in a long time. Honeys abounded and the floor was full from the first set on! We debuted 5 new songs that all went over well and saw some familiar faces in the crowd I haven't seen in awhile. Who says summer sucks for the local bar scene, not I after last night. And alas, this was Dougies last gig as he is taking a hiatus so he and his wife can pop out a little monster in the near future. Let the sequencing commence!! We are going to be working on some more new material and hopefully can have a bunch of new tunage in the very near future. Next week will be fun, we are at The Edgewater in Ephrata, always something to report after a night there, and we are at Hardware Harrisburg Saturday night, will definitely be a great weekend, I can't wait. And Budweiser will be at some of our upcoming shows to give away shirts and hats and promote their fine product. I am sure DJ G-spot will be in fine form Friday at the Edge....see you at the shows!

Monday May 26th
Back to back nights at the Hardware bars in York and Harrisburg = lotsa "peeps" and a real good time, Its the time of year when everyone goes to the shore, but the hardware bars are always mobbed , you can count on that, regardless. The Daisys threw some new tunes at the crowd and things are tightening up with our new additions, so look for some more new material on the horizon and some occasional madness! This week we are at Tinks in Scranton on Friday and Goodfellas in Pottsville on Saturday. Make a road trip!

Tuesday May 18th
Well well...its been awhile and yes ,there have been some changes in the Daisy infrastructure. JR our drummer has left the band and joined the band Froggy Style. Jim was a major factor in the growth and success of the Daisys and cant be thanked enough for his major contributions to the band musically as well as putting together our website, I will miss Jimbo but have known him for years and will keep in touch, believe me there is no shortage of chicanery in any band and there are always many stories to tell, so I am sure there will be no shortage of horror stories for us to muse over. In Jims place now is Oz Christ, another local drummer and friend of Satan, er I mean the band, and he will be pounding nails from here out. Oz is a great addition to the band and I cant wait to get things rolling. Also on another front Doug our keyboard players wife is expecting a little one, so Doug will be stepping out of the picture shortly for awhile to experience the joys and rigors of fatherhood. I just hope they don't have a little girl that looks like him....that's not right...sorry. On a brighter note...I get to be the new keyboard/sequencer guy!..how many hats can one wear? Also we have acquired a sponsorship with Budweiser- the King of beers!!! So look for promos from the folks at Bud at our gigs. And the Daisys have acquired some new venues, The Staircase in Pittston, the Coal Hole in Shamokin, Goodfellas in Pottsville amongst others, so things keep rollin on. Steve has finally got a computer so hopefully I wont have to be the only one spewing the daisy gospel here anymore. The crowds at the shows have been great, and we have been working on new tunes, especially with Oz on board it will be nice to get some more new material in the sets. This week we are at the Hardware Bar in The Burg on Friday and Hardware York on Saturday, what crowds these places have been pulling!! You can always expect a good time at the Hardware Bars!! See you all at the show.

Tuesday March 2nd
Hello friends and fiends! It has been awhile....Weekend of January 23 and 24 we were at Chucky B's in Columbia and The Village on Saturday, had a great turnout both nights, lots of friends out on Saturday night. The 30th we were at The Ritz in New Holland playing to another packed house, love that venue, great place to see bands. Saturday was The Hardware Bar in the Burg, another big crowd but no real chicanery of any sort....hmmm....February 6 we were at Tinks in Scranton, a so so turnout and the 7th at The Hardware Bar in the Burg again, nothing special on these fronts...I am always on the lookout for the crazier aspects of the scene but things have been horrendously normal ( other than your basic drunkenness, there has been no real miscarriages of decency) at these gigs. Friday February 13th we were at The Hardware Bar in York (soon the bands will be playing upstairs)and Saturday Banana Joes in Wilkes Barre....The 20th and 21st we were at Chucky B's and Peppers in Berwick and both of these nights kicked serious booty, lots of craziness and drunken stage diving at Peppers is always a thrill, just waiting for a most painful elimination of the day! ! Indeed...That brings us to this weekend ,we did The Hardware Bar again in Harrisburg, lots of nubile honeys there that night, and Saturday had a great night at The Edgewater in Ephrata, people in that town are starved for entertainment, so we did the ole switcheroo and Jim played bass and Dougie the skins (skinflute) on She Hates Me, and a shoutout to DJ G-SPOT , headmaster of pompousity ANDceremonies for the night. This weekend we are at the Hardware Bar in the Burg AGAIN (may as well move in!) and The Village in Lancaster with openers The Love Haters, come check it out, and believe it or not, we are learning quite a bit of new material, so in the next month or so look for a set or so of new tunes...yeeha!!

Monday January 26th
The Daisytrain rolled into The Village Saturday night and what a great turnout!! The crowd was smokin! Shout out to Bob for helping out with the lights on such short notice, nothing like a good home town crowd and a decent paycheck at the end of the night! Indeed. Next Friday we are at The Ritz in New Holland and Saturday at The Hardware Bar in the Burg, should be two kick ass shows, cant wait. Love The Ritz, great venue, and The Hardware Bar, decadence in its highest form.Later!

Sunday January 25th
My ,my....let me preface this by saying that you cant judge a bar by the people that show up, and you generally cant judge a person by how much they drink ( or can you?). Friday night at good ole Chucky B's in Columbia, where do I begin....hmmm...How about the weather? A snowy night and yet a great crowd, was expecting less, but our faithful as always were present. How about the table of lesbians stage right? Not that theres anything wrong with that, but they knew how to have a good time and thats what its all about, gotta love lesbians grinding butt on the dancefloor! Whooyah!!! But lets get to the macabre and surreal. I was playing and noticed a rather butch looking "woman" in the crowd, the first glimpse i got of "her" was from behind and what an impressive set of calves she had. If you like Arnold Swartzenegger! Well she turns around and low and behold shes a sheila! He had a tight fitting dress on and it was obvious by the "semi- aroused" state (and the large wet spot) she-er-he had been drinking quite a bit and was feeling lets say alittle amorous (blecht). Ive seen some funny-disgusting things in my life but this may take the cake. Someone said he was embarrassed, duh! he was lucky to get out of Columbia alive.(nice wig though!) Kids this is Daisyland, the horrors never cease, but hey, what the hey, it was another entertaining night, especially the end of it ( we will leave that one alone), we always have a good time at Chuckys, ya gotta go there, its always a good time when the Daisytrain rolls into town. Support your local music people!! later...

Tuesday January 20th
Hey now! Friday the 2nd of January found the Daisys at a favorite local watering hole, The Edgewater in Ephrata, and as is par for the course, an overzealous horde of intoxicated fans mobbed the joint. No there was no baring of the flesh or emptying of the innards in the parking lot (like last time), but everyone had a ripping good time! Saturday we were in Berwick at Peppers Bar and Grill and had another responsive crowd egging us on, we saw friends that drove 2 hours to see us, gotta love it, and you have to appreciate drunken guys stage diving and all but killing themselves in the process (at least I do). We may have to start a Daisys quadriplegic fan club!! On to the 9th and our debut at Hardware Bar York. Nice large rooms and lots of people excited about a new happening spot in York, Hardware kicks arse!! And how bout those hot Hardware babes?! Saturday we were at Grinders in E-town and had another great crowd getting there stank on with us.Friday the 16th and we were at The Hardware Bar in the Burg and though it was a frigid night, it did not keep the crowd from showing up and rockin the night away. This weekend we are at Chucky B's in Columbia on Friday, and The Village in Lancaster Saturday, yeehaa!! And a special shout out to Richard Mantz, who has started his own Daisys fansite and has contributed some video clips and photos in the photo section on our website, check it out! Get it on!!

Friday January 2nd
The 26th saw us at The Ritz on Main, and once again a standing room only crowd, great room and always a good time, Tuesday the 30th we hit The Village in Lancaster and wondered if people would come out the night before New Years and much to our surprise we had a awesome turnout! The Daisy machine at work. Then New Years at The Hardware Bar in Harrisburg, a huge turnout and much alcohol laden chicanery abounding... my favorite was the Spanish gal from Florida who could hardly speak english spilling 3 beers on the stage then crawling up on the stage and sitting in it, not even noticing!! Her boyfriend did not seem enthused as he stormed off for about an hour leaving her a quivering , sobbing, gelatinous mass on stage right! Wanna talk about a stranger in a strange land? But aside from the stumbles, scuffles and otherwise ridiculous behavior, it was an entertaining night. The fireworks kicked ass!! But I for one am glad the holidays are over and we can move on to better things in the coming year. This weekend we are at The Edgewater in Ephrata and Peppers in Berwick. Next Friday is our Hardware Bar York debut...peace out!

Monday November 24th
WHAT UUUPPPPPP!!!!! hello? hello? Anyway, it's Dougefresh checkin in with the weekend wrap-up. The Eagles won! That's all you need to know. AND- the Daisys had a great weekend as always. Friday nite we packed Chuckie B's with a drunken menagerie of hillbillies, hicks, playas, hoochie mommas, and anybody else that lives in Columbia! (And you thought I was talking about our band!) With Joe, our Chief Security Officer, in charge of everything, we had a great nite. Although, maybe Steve can wait until I am done playing to bolt out the back door. Saturday we opened for Green Eggs at the Coyote Bar in H-Burg. If you haven't seen their comedy show on the 2nd floor, you've got to check it out. Usually they have a wanna-be open up for the real comedian. Saturday was no exception! Jim will be expecting royalties for the joke that he gave (unintentionally) to the wanna-be if he ever makes it big (Ha,Ha). The Daisys gave it their all, with Steve jumpin around like he was being chased by a crazy Puerto Rican (oh, wait, that's practice!) Thanks to Green Eggs for letting us use their equipment (especially the drumset, Jim!) Check out our schedule for Thanksgiving gigs. We are all over the place. PEACE OUT!

Ah yes, The Hardware Bar.Friday night.Booze.Loose women(?).Fat guy MCing the show.Steve the manager in all his striking glory.Jim's head,er I mean drum set.Confused? you bet I am, its just another night at Harrisburg's own little shop of horrors (or pleasures)! Night started out slow and ended strong, never fail to have a good time at Harrisburg's finest,The Hardware bar.Saturday night we opened a show for Readings Burnt Sienna, I never caught these guys, great band and very friendly to boot. Do these guys pull a crowd in Reading? You bet they do and it was great to open and play in front of a nice, primed Reading crowd. The Club 1402 is a big room and this night it was packed to the gills with a hard partying crowd of Reading zealots. next week we are at Chucky B's in columbia and once again The Hardware Bar in Harrisburg playing with good friends Green Eggs, ought to be a great weekend, check it out!! P.S. Hold on to the ball ,Mr. Farve.....

Monday November 10th
Saturday Night we had our first gig at Banana Joes in Wilkes-Barre, we are new to that town and wondered how the people would respond, no complaints here! The owner Thom told me his normal dance crowd was in with the band instead of the DJ room when we were playing. Lots of girls enjoying the Daisy "product"!There was a little vandalism to our cars at the end of the night, but the owner is looking into helping with our costs, you cant ask for a more stand up person than that.We always seem to do well up in the Northern Pa. regions. Next week we are at The Hardware Bar in the Burg and opening for Burnt Sienna at the Club 1402 in Reading, ciao!

Monday November 3rd
Halloween night we were at Grinders in Elizabethtown and did the freaks come out? Aside from our drummer, you bet they did. My personal favorite costume was one of the "bad schoolgirls", always have an affinity for a bad school girl. Wait a minute, that doesnt sound to good...anyways, it was a fun night. Saturday we were at Fat Daddys in York and had an uneventful but otherwise great time, Fat D's is the place to get your kicks in York. We have a new club we are venturing to next week, Banana Joes in Wilkes -Barre, can't wait for that , see ya soon...

Monday October 27th
What up! Friday we were at The Edgewater in Ephrata and the house was MOBBED. Everyone was sloshed, evident by the epileptic seizures the drunkards were having on the dance floor.A number of fine ladies(?) flashed me in front of the stage, a macabre mix of tattooed ,pierced juggery. That place was crazy, sometimes the smaller joints are the craziest. Saturday we were at The hardware Bar in the Burg. Except for a bothersome hole in the stage, everything was as usual, packed house with people throwin back the booze. Never fail to meet a handful of hotties in that place, it is the local Mecca of the meat markets. And I got a little unexpected surprise at the end of the night, good stuff. Next week we are at Grinders in Elizabethtown for a Halloween Party on Friday and on Saturday we are at Fat Daddys in York, hope to see you there, rock dogs...

Saturday October 25th
Wow, last night was so full of "events" at The Edgewater that I just had to be the first to report all the breaking news! First of all the the place was packed and I mean packed. Just walking to the bathroom was an adventure. Second, during the course of the night I saw at least 3 or 4 pairs of bare, pierced and or tattooed breasts and a few more ladies sans shirts in only their bras! As if all this wasn't enough, as I was leaving the club I witnessed one of the naked breast barers from earlier in the evening squatting with pants down and PEEING in the parking lot right by the front door to the club. Needless to say I proclaimed to all in attendance with my tongue placed firmly in my cheek, "that is without doubt the classiest thing I've seen all night." After a night like last night I'd normally hope for a more calm and subdued evening at tonights show, but since we're playing at The Coyote Hardware in Harrisburg those thoughts are pretty much smashed and dashed. Anyway, see you all tonight but before I go a word to all the ladies about tonights show, please keep your clothes on!
Jim

I saw friends I havent seen for years, and we filmed that show and that turned out great, the crowd looked awesome!! All in all a great night. We are looking into sponsorship with Budweiser, hopefully that will happen soon.Next week we are at the Edgewater and Hardware Bar in Harrisburg. Later...

Tuesday October 7th
Friday night, ah yes...The Ritz in New Holland, a awesome club that just recently opened. It happened to be the same night as the New Holland Fair and since the club is situated on main street and the fair just happened to be on main street, you had to wonder, but never fear! Regardless of the parking restrictions, it was a great night. The Ritz really paid attention to fine detail, a great club, nice stage, great light show and a very nice crowd. This is a great new place to hang and should definitely be checked out! Then Saturday at the Hardware Bar in the Burg.Never fails to satisfy! The place was packed to the gills and I found many sexual aids in my pockets by the end of the night!!!( bad girls) Harrisburg's own version of Caligula?! A strange night indeed. Checked out the comedy on the second floor at 8:00, you have to go get your yuks out then down to the petulance of the Hardware Bar.The Daisys are going to do the Hardware Bar on new years eve, that ought to be slammin!! Next week we are off, JR has some vacation plans , but the following week we will be back at Chucky B's on Friday and The Village on Saturday, and hopefully we will have some new tunes ready for those shows, Hope to see some more familiar faces! Later....GO PACKERS!!

Monday September 29th
Yo Yo! Friday night the Daisy machine rolled into Chucky B's in Columbia and by the end of the night, the club had a new attendance record! Schwing!! The place was hot as hell, literally and the crowd was smokin'. We always have a great time at that joint and Friday was no exception, my friends. Saturday we were at The Village in Lancaster, our home "hotspot", the band 402 opened the show and did a great job, they too are a local female fronted band, check them out. There was a snafu with sound earlier in the day and we were glad to get to work with Mike Boyer on such short notice, he did a great job and of course, we cant forget the ever incredulous Bunson(Bundy) who has always done a fantastic job with us on the light show end of the deal, I always get compliments on his work. Also, we can't forget that Burns was in the house, he is the lead singer of the band Froggy Style, and he got up at the end of the night and did a little Blink 182 with us, rocked the casbah! Another badass Village crowd, and thanx Gus for the pizza. Being the absent minded moron I am, I left one of my guitars there, but that's another story. Three Red Bulls wit Yagermeister = massive cranial hemmorage! Next Friday we play The Ritz in New Holland, an awesome new venue in the area, check it out, and Saturday we are back at the Hardware Bar in Harrisburg. The Hardware Bar is opening a new Hardware in York in the coming months, and we will be there soon, can't wait! Till next time....

Monday September 8th
Saturday we played a rock-n-box at Peppers Bar and Grill in Berwick, the first few fights were guys plodding around, no real bombs were landed. We played our first set and the place was jumping, I couldn't wait till the set was over and the girls got in the ring to box, and it was worth the wait. Nothing like a catfight! Let the hair fly!! It was a tag team match, two of the girls in the one corner outsized the other two girls, but when the bell rang and the little fists of fury were unleashed ,size had nothing to do with it. These girls spazzed on each other, at one point one of the girls was thrown down and she got up and punched the ref in the face!! After three rounds of punching ,grappling and tackling, it was obvious that some serious animosity had developed between the fighters, the crowd couldn't decide a winner so they fought one more round, the guys in all their fights were sucking air by the end of one round, these girls looked ready for five more! After the fight in the dressing room they had to be restrained from going at it some more. Well we played our final set, the crowd got up on stage with us again and lumbered about in drunken dementia , an older woman who had to be in her late 50's tripped over one of the monitors, I do not know how she shook it off , and soon after another great night at Peppers came to a close, always fun there! Next week we only play Friday at the Hardware bar in Harrisburg, see ya!

Tuesday September 2nd
Yo yo!! Friday night we played The Edgewater in Ephrata to packed room of rockin Daisyophites, damn when they open the doors its like a cattle rush trying to get into that place! It was such a good time that due to a cancellation at The Ritz in New Holland (the grand opening has been delayed), we will play this fine establishment again next Friday.Drunken Ephradites unite!! On to Saturday night at The Hardware Bar in Harrisburg...the place was packed to the gills early and in full party mode,it was pirate night at The Hardware Bar and the Coyote gals were looking fine, they can walk my plank anytime! It was one fiery crowd with gals singing and dancing on stage with us, and the crowd singing along to there favorite songs. I saw allot of hometown Lancastrians, some I know and some I haven't seen in awhile...and some of our friends from the Tamaqua area came down to party with us,that is quite a cruise! Some surprises indeed!! It was a Daisy led extravaganza thanx to a very responsive Hardware crowd. Next week we play The Edgwewater again in Ephrata on Friday, and Saturday we do the Rock-n-Box thang at Peppers Bar and Grille in Berwick. Should be a slammin good time! Rock n roll and vicious beatings, can't wait!! On the new club front, we just started booking Banana Joes in Wilkes Barre, shout out and thanx to owner Thom, our first gig there is November 8, and from what I hear, the club is smack dab between two colleges and they have outrageous drink specials, so we can't wait to venture there...looks like the Daisy contagion is spreading throughout the Northern Pa. region. Good stuff...also don't forget to join our e-mail update list so you have an easy reference to where it is we are playing from week to week. Hope to see you at our shows, ciao!

Monday August 25th
Hey guys! Wednesday we played The Cell Block in Williamsport for the first time, the club is an old 1700s renovated prison with an eerie history. A number of prisoners that were executed are buried underneath the floor, and where the band plays is called The Gallows, being that the stage is at the same place that they hung prisoners! They even have pics of the last person to be hung, one shot as the poor souls neck is snapping. We took a "tour" of the cells and the solitary confinement area. Aside from that, the place rocks! Great sound system and soundman. The night was a good one, we made some new friends and had a kickass time. Cant wait to do it again. Friday night we played Chucky B's in Columbia to a packed house. The Daisy factor was in full effect. Moose was there and in his usual inebriated state. The crowd is always kickin at B's.And on a personal note, I finally met someone who I've been wanting to meet for some time now! Quite the honeybear!! Good time with lots of friends and people out to have a good time with the Daisys. On Saturday night we invaded Grinders in E-town, college is coming back in so the crowds are going to be picking up there bigtime. We had local college band RSP open for us and rocked the house with our special brand of Daisy cheese. Next week we are at The Edgewater in Ephrata on Friday night and the Coyote Hardware Bar on Saturday night which is always a slammin gig with the horde of faithful daisy minions at hand!! Hope to see you at the shows!

Tuesday August 19th.
I write this with much trepidation knowing that my spelling and grammar are going to be "graded" by our resident teachers, Doug(keyboards) and wife Dawn, but here goes nothing....Friday we did the 1402 Club in Reading, Jim unveiled his new drum kit and seemed to be basking in his own glory all night. Nothing eventful happened that evening BUT we move on to Saturday at The Village, things got a bit more interesting. Local band 404 opened the evening and did a nice job and by the time we went on the crowd was loose, very loose.By evenings end aside from Missy and Unique dousing the front rows with water, I noticed some heavy lesbo makeout action in the front row. One very amourous lady was making out with multiple "partners", and I noticed some girls getting molested,by some drunkards that I found out later just turned 21, and not looking to thrilled with the unwanted groping they were receiving! A modern day Sodom and Gammorah my freinds...ya gotta love daisyland! The crowd was very responsive and thats what it is all about. Hometown band+hometown crowd+a good dose of alcohol ,just what the doctor ordered to end another bombastic weekend! Wednesday August 13th.
Friday we were at Fat Daddys in York, we had a great crowd on hand, and except for the excessive heat on stage ,the night was a good one, the deck at Fat D's keeps em packed in the summer. On saturday night we were at Tinks in Scranton. The night began a little shaky with the light show crashing down behind us(before the show) witch is a bit scary, but with that problem resolved the gig went without a hitch. Scranton rocks! Tinks is a huge 3 tier club and is a great time for all. Some smashed ladies got up on stage and one honeybear put on a show for about 40 minutes of the second set. a fun night (except for the drive home). This week we play the 1402 club in Reading on friday wich is a large hall with outside deck and on saturday we are at homebase at The Village in Lancaster, always good to be home. And next week is our debute at The Cell Block in Williamsport. With the little league world series there that week it ought to be quite the event! Hope to see you at our shows. And we have some new tunes in the works coming soon. Dont forget to join our e-mail update list on our website to let you know where we are on any given week. Rock on!

Monday August 4th.
Saturday we did the Hardware Bar in Harrisburg,or did the Hardware Bar do us? Another packed house full of enthusiastic "patrons". We saw some longtime freinds we havent seen in awhile, (Jessica and freind-Grrrrooowwrr),met some interesting ladies ( a Hardware bar standard) and had a pretty much anemic although satisfyingly good time. I went out to breakfast with some "new" freinds I met outside the club at the end of the night who were at the gig but the one who I would be freindliest with didnt even know that i was in the band, although she was in the club while we were playing!!! HELLO?! (what am I,chopped liver??!!) But I think I liked it better that way. In the next few weeks we will be playing different areas, witch means more driving, but I cant wait. We just landed a gig at The Cell Block in Williamsport,a cool club in a old prison, thats coming up this month also. And Peppers in Berwick in the beginning of September. We play a rock n box show there that is awesome! Inbetween sets they have three tough guy fights, the last time we played one of these two girls got in the ring and beat the bejesus out of each other till one of them pissed herself!! Rock n roll in tadem with brutal male AND female pummelings....ahhh the american dream....and the beat goes on.....

Thursday July 31st.
This past weekend the "Daisys" had a 3 night stand. Thursday we played Chuckie B's in Columbia. Somehow Chuckie B's is never the same without "MOOSE". For those of you who stayed past last call, you got a chance to witness the main event as Steve and Greg put the gloves on. (Rock-n-Box at Chuckie B's???) Christmas came early this year to the Hardware Bar in H-Burg on Friday. If you were walking in downtown H-Burg on friday night you probably were accosted by a gang of gorgeous Santa Clauses cruising the strip begging you to stop by the bar. They even asked several of the band members if we were going to stop in (Duh!). As always, the Coyote was hopping, the crowd was pelted by presents from Big Momma (has a crush on Greg), and Greg decided to help increase the value of his recent stock purchase (Smirnoff Ice). On Sat. we played a "Toga" party at Grinders. Apparently the word never got out, because the only fools wearing togas were the bartenders and us! (minus Greg and Jim) Several of us got a chance to hang out at Steve's "bachelor pad" (no really Steve, where's the rest of it?) This weekend we are off on Friday and are back at Coyotes on Sat. Come out and help support Greg's recent stock acquisition. (Hey, did anyone notice that Jim's drumset is shrinking??)

Thursday July 24th.
Friday we were at The Edgewater in Ephrata,an ugly rainy night but a good crowd, and did i see some possible nefarious lesbo action in the crowd? hmmm....always a good time there...Saturday night we did the Village and had another great night, the crowd was awesome and really seemed to appreciate Missys low cut skirt(if thats what you want to call it). One interesting footnote: alcohol+ a generous dose of R&R = girl dropping pants on stage, very interesting yes,but stupid? The crowd was a bit rabid at the end of the night, but you can only play till 2 oclock guys! Missy and Unique soaked the front rows (and themselves) with water and by the last chord of She Hates Me another hometown night at the Village came to a close. We appreciate the enthusiasm and the regular and new faces we are seeing at our shows! Thank you, thank you, thank you! This week we are at Chucky B's on Thursday, the Hardware Bar on Friday, and Grinders in Elizabethtown for a "dreaded" Toga party (yikes) on Saturday.Hope to see you at the shows!

aaaahhhhhhh yes,The Evergreen in Lebanon friday night, well the night started off looking pretty shady, one side of the sound system was blown, and the night started slow but by the 2nd set things were pumpin,Lebanon has some hotties! (Tawny).Eye candy always makes a great night better,eh?Except for some unforseen end of the night dramatics by one should be "oscar nominated actress", the night was a great one! We have Saturday night off, wich is cool,Doug has a get together planned,so a night off will be welcome.Hope to see ya at the shows!!

Ephradites unite! Friday we played the Edgewater in Ephrata, small place =big crowd. I have to wonder what the blood to alcohol ratio is in that place when we play there,i see lots of people dragging their jaws on the floor leaving that place, its a madhouse! Then on to the Hardware bar in Harrisburg Saturday night. The evening started slow, but by showtime was packed to the gills, girls dancing the night away on the bar and bachlorette parties stomping around the stage in a inebriated fever pitch.Jim received a drum lesson in timing from a fine young lass,Steve was assaulted by a cross dresser, and yours truly stood back and watched all this chicanery with a slight alcohol induced stupor. All in all an excellent evening witch we have come to expect from our faithful minions at The Hardware Bar.Next week Grinders in E-town on Thursday, and the 1402 Club in Reading on Saturday night, have a good 4th,check our schedule and hope to see you at our shows!

Hey boys n girls, saturday night we played Peppers Bar and Grill in Berwick, and the Berwickians came out in full force! It was a great night capped off by the masses rushing the stage and flopping about like fish out of water in a macabre, drunken stupor. The crazed crowd visciously stomped my floor pedals with reckless abandon. One girl flopped of the stage,i thought she killed herself, but the alcohol obviously masked the pain of a crushing three foot bellyflop! ahhh the satisfaction. This is what its all about....i think.Well anyways,we just got bookings at the 1402 Club in Reading(a great club) and cant wait to venture out to new ones.It was definitely a good weekend for all.Till next time....

Saturday April 19th.
Last night we played Chucky B's in Columbia and the place was packed and jumping. We got to see lots of old freinds and we made a few new ones too. The dancefloor was packed the entire night which was great and everyone was "very" enthusiastic yelling for "one more song" even after the house lights came on and we started packing up! Crowds like last night really make our job easy and a whole lot of fun too! I hope everyone who was at Chucky's last night comes to the Village to see us tonight! It's The Village's anniversary party tonight and our last show before we go on vacation next week so it should be another great night. We resume our normal schedule on Friday May 2nd at The Coyote. Hope to see you all tonight!

Last night the Daisys were at the "Coyote" again. WOW! All I can say is this place is even crazier on a thur. than on the weekend. What's the matter, don't you people work on Fridays? (Some of us do!) Anyway, here's the low-down: Missy and Unique sang their hearts out with some help from the audience (guys of course!), Jim and I were pelted by peanuts the whole nite (Jim's crazy friends?), Greg didn't piss anybody off (always a good nite!), and Steve's Bass playing was as clean as a freshly shaven beard (mmmmmm.....). I think I even caught a smile on the manager's face. (he was probably looking at the waitresses (mmmmm.....). Until next time....GROOVE IS IN THE HEART JIM!!

An excerpt from an email we received today.
Hey, Gang! I just had to write and thank you all again sooooooooooooo much for pulling together and doing all that you did for me and especially for Briana on Saturday night. As you've heard a million times - you guys ruled - played great as always, and saved this mommy's butt from a nervous breakdown on such short notice! I was also blessed to learn that not only are you a great band that is willing to go out of your way for a "gig" - but that you are a group of genuinely sincere, kind, and all-around great people! It was a privelidge to have had the opportunity to get to know most of you a bit. Add the phenomenal music and stage performance with positive and genuine personalities - and you come up with the perfect ingredients for success - which you are all so deserving of. For now, anyway, again please accept my heartfelt gratitude for all you did to make Saturday a night my little girl will remember forever. Ya'll take care! Hugs! -- Abby

Well, it's wednesday night, and I think we are just recovering from last sat. night at Margaritas in West Chester! The joint was hopping, as O'D GREEN started the night off with an awesome set. You guys rock! The crowd was definitely ready to rock when we took the stage. I was glad to see some of my crew there to help us party. Sam and Kevin, you guys are the shit! Oh yeah, "JUMPING GUY" was there again. This guy is nuts! You have got to check him out the next time we are in town. We will be back to rock West Chester in November and December. Until then..... "ONE MORE SONG, ONE MORE SONG...."

Is it just me or is the world a whole lot brighter and LOUDER today? I think this may be a good time for some "Daisys Mathematics 101." Coyote's Hardware Bar + Jack Daniels Hard Cola = Hangover for Jim. Hopefully someone else in the band will write a journal entry for last night's gig since my keyboard is spinning.

What up!! On Saturday we played Emersons in Columbia. It was a ball as usual! That place is like a second home to us. I had lots of old friends from high school there, and I'd like to thank them for coming out, it was awesome.
I must note that Greg had a beautiful woman out to see him, and I mean beautiful!! Don't ask me how thats possible but she likes him for some reason.(Just kidding Greggie). Unique also had a friend out to see her which was very nice(Go Girl).
I think everyone should stop by Emerson's, good food, good music, why the hell not!!!! Hope to see everyone there next time!!

Oh man, what a night! We played a 9/11 Benefit for NYC Firefighters at Coyote's Hardware Bar last night. First off all, we'd like to thank all of the people who came out on a wednesday night to see us and support a great cause. Thanks also to the other band "Something Fluid." They were so cool and lots of fun onstage. In fact we had such a great time we stayed until the very end and basically helped the club lock the doors!
It was like a who's who of the local music scene in the crowd with among others, Steve from Green Eggs, his wife Shelby from Creamsicle, Todd from Emily's Toybox, Shea from The Sharks and Jen Shade from The X. We'd also like to thank Jen and Missy from Hershey and all the other familiar faces we saw but who's names have been withheld to protect their innocence or have been temporarily forgotten due to last nights "liquid" refreshments!

Whatup.
We played margaritas in West Chester on saturday. It's a really cool place that has 2 levels, 2 bars, and a lot of crazy people. I was highly impressed.
Doug had all his buddys there who were all crazy. We may be hiring the one guy to come to all of our shows. He wouldn't stop jumping up and down all night long and even tried to give some of the girls lap dances!
Greg was looking for girls (as usual) Jim and Steve were acting insane on stage which is always something to look forward to, while Unique and I did our best to keep singing while Doug's friend (the jumping guy) entertained us!!! Pictures of the show will be posted on our photo's page soon! It was a really cool night, hope to see you all again next time.

Another great show at Coyote's Hardware Bar in Harrisburg PA last night. As usual the place was packed, the crowd was hot and I think I speak for the whole band when I say we all had piles of fun!
Jen Shade from "The X" was there to introduce our second set and do some bar dancing! I haven't run into Jen for a while and I didn't realize she was going to be there so it was really cool to see her.
Ashley from "The Fly" magazine was there too and was also spotted on the bar dancing. I looked up during one song just in time to see her do a "stripper style" spin around the one pole! Nice one Ashley!
Last night was the first time Missy and Unique performed their acappella version of "Killing Me Softly" and it was great! Those girls are really amazing!
Hopefully Greg will do a journal entry because he seemed to be pretty busy in between sets with a couple of bachelorette parties, so I'm sure he must have a story or two!
What a night. I think I need a nap!

Monday August 26 2002
This past saturday (August 24th) we played two really great shows. We played "Swampfest" from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, then ran to The Village and opened for Negative Space at 10:30. During our set at Swampfest (we were playing outdoors by the way) it began to rain right after we played "I'm Only Happy When It Rains" by Garbage. Coincidence? Luckily we were "under-roof," but the "Swampfesters" (is that a word?) weren't so lucky. They didn't seem to mind and kept dancing in the rain and the mud and the beer! Great people and a really cool show. Thanks to everyone who was there especially the drummer of the band "No More Monkeys" who let me use his set rather than drag mine all the way up the hill to the stage in the mud! Many thanks brother!
As soon as we finished our set at Swampfest we rushed over to The Village to open for Negative Space. Special thanks to Sean, Negative Space's drummer for letting me use his kit and saving me from having to setup my stuff! I'm not really that lazy (shut up Greg!) and I appreciated the break. Sean also reminded me that Negative Space had opened for a band I played with back in 1995 called The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns at an all age club in York called "The Fenix." I had completely forgotten about it so it was cool of him to remind me of "the good old days!" Thanks also to everyone who was at The Village for the warm reception we received onstage and also for the kind words after the show. We all really had a great time!
Jim
